In order to provide you with more information about AOC game, we update servers and beta on Friday. On one hand ,we launch our two main servers of North America and Europe in March, That is to say, players are devided into two main parts when they sign up on different servers. Hence, players in a certain area have to choose the server of their ares. However, We are aware of the fact that many would like to play with their friends across the ocean, but we have decided on this approach for the overall performance for the largest amount of players.

It is important for us to mention that this is done in order to ensure a best possible experience for US and European players respectively. But you play on a server on another continent it would mean a potentially poorer gaming experience, latency wise, and we would like to avoid that at all cost. We do not set up a boundary between US and Europe. What we aim to do is to protect your latency wise for nearly a large part of you know how important the latency wise is, eap in AOC game. However, techoniqs develop as time goes by. We finally launch servers with distinguished languages, such as English, German and French. We even prepare to develop Spanish server. This naturally also involves customer service and community in the localized languages. With our new, and current, approach it now means that the French can play on the German servers, the Germans on the English servers, the English on the German servers and so forth. We are hence NOT setting any limitations to what kind of language, and server, you can choose if you live in Europe as we have previously mentioned. However, a fact is the primary language version on your install disc will be according to where you live (French in France etc.)

But when you choose a server you can now select one outside your language. As a result of this we are currently evaluating if we should include all languages on the various install discs. If we don’t include all languages on the install-discs we will at least aim to make additional languages available through downloads. The main unsolved challenge for us in this regard is the North American Quebec region, whom are French speakers. We know it may lead some inconvenience for customers but we will find solutions for this region as well. Players in this region please wait for our solution patiently for we will not neglect any customer in the world. On the other hand, we do our best to promote our main server structures.

Only with advanced betas can we provide better online service for players. As a result of this we are also getting ready to start inviting thousands and thousands (and thousands) into our Beta programs. As we progress with this new stage of the Beta we expect to get lots of constructive feedback on the general gameplay. This testing will in turn lead to adding tens and tens of thousands of testers as we move over to the new year. It means that we are escalating our invitation process. For those of you we have defined as “veterans” (which have not gotten a Beta invite yet), we are looking to send an invitation within the next few weeks. When I heard that age of conan boasting the same environment as Shadowbane which is a true PvP game I last played, I was naturally ecstatic.

I love PvP when the only reward is the pride or shame you feel after the outcome. Bragging rights is more valuable to me than PvP points, and rewards.

Unfortunately, things are changing now, as Funcom has announced they will be implementing a new PvP system which is pretty much a direct rip off of Lineage 2’s system. Basically punishing players for engaging in Open PvP a.k.a discouraging open PvP.

All of these players who are complaining about being “ganked” or “unfairly killed” need to cowboy up. In AOC and Shadowbane, PvP was left open for the players to dictate it, I assume that most of them have not played such games. They need to get out of the kitchen if they can’t take the heat. PvE rule set servers are designed especially for this season. Funcom shouldn’t be watering down the PvP system on the PvP rule set servers. Not only does this go against the original vision for this game, but it is not what true PvPers want.

The majority of people who post on the AoC boards are QQers. And yes, my thread can be considered a QQ thread. But as it’s obvious Funcom is changing the shape of AoC based on the many QQ threads they read every week, I’ll put one up of my own. The reason you don’t see many people supporting the current system, Funcom, is because we’re all in game happily enjoying the open PvP environment that was promised to us back in development.

If people are getting ganked, they can change instance, so please don’t change the PvP system. I believe this is the point when the Funcom fans will rip me to threads.

So many players ask me about the “Frost Swamp” “Imirian Ravine”"Oasis of Zaara” in age of conan. I believe some people have been in there and get nice drops. But there are too many people even don’t know what about those. I will explain these dungeons and how to play it.

“Frost Swamp” can pick quest in Brannoc Village Locate in Lacheish Plains. “Imirian Ravine” can pick quest in Caenna Village Locate in Poitain, “Oasis of Zaara” can pick quest in Nasten Village Locate in Pruple Lotus Swamp. But you only can get one quest.

First, you need the FULL Group to make sure it runs smoothly. Second, you need decide what level you want to run because those dungeons are based on the first member getting. For example, lv50ppl getting into zone first, mob will become lv50. If a lv53 gets in first, mob will become 53. That’s simple. Third, decide just grind bosses and xp or do the quest then go to other zones because you only can do one quest per one day(in game time)if you done quest inside. Probably need 3-4 HR for the cool down when you make sure where to go, what to do, and have enough people.

Much is made of attacking in Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures, but sometimes you want to catch your breath or sometimes you’re surrounded by raging Picts.
Sometimes, it’s time for a little defense. There are two kinds of defense in Age of Conan: passive defense and active defense.
Passive Defense
Passive defense means, simply, you don’t have to do anything to make it work. This area of your defense covers several areas, such as your statistics, your armor, any magic effects you currently have running, and any user-selected things that affect your defensive abilities (such as trained feats or skills), such as a feat that gives you a better chance to dodge.
Active Defense
There are several ways to take a more active role in keeping yourself alive.
Shields Up! – Some classes have the options to use items like shields. While this will decrease your damage output, to a degree, it will also let you block and deflect incoming strikes, ensuring you last longer on the battlefield.
Terrain and Cover – Cover makes it harder for your foes to hit you and with Age of Conan’s collision system, hiding behind things, running for safety, and using natural chokepoints to your advantage will make it much easier to stay alive.
Movement – Running around jumping up and down might not be effective, but there is a place for movement in the Age of Conan combat system. Quickly tapping the movement keys in a certain direction may make for a short, quick burst of movement in that direction (such as dodging out of the way of an incoming strike).
Bring A Friend – Sometimes, you want to take cover behind the bar, and sometimes, you want to hide behind something a bit more stout, like 250 pounds of muscle wearing 50 pounds of steel. Staying behind the big guys in the big armor is a good way to keep yourself alive. After all, if the beasts can’t get to you, they can’t very well hit you. Monsters and NPCs can defend themselves, too. Imagine the surprise of the eager Barbarian when his enemy cowers behind his shield, peeking out to see if the big bad man in animal skins is gone yet.
The Shield System
Part of the combat system in Age of Conan is the directional attacks, controlling every swing and strike, and working hand in hand with that is what we call the shield system. The shield system is simply a way of representing a lot of small things, like the guy who always tries to cover his right side or the monster that’s weak to frontal assaults.
Your enemy will focus their defense in certain areas, represented by a set of icons that surrounds them. The more of these icons that are on one side, the heavier his or her defense is on that side, and the less damage you will do when attacking that side.
Your opponent will constantly shift their defensive focus around depending on where you’re hitting, so mashing the same attack over and over again (or using the same combo over and over again) will quickly decrease its effectiveness. While not all enemies will use this defense system (and some may use it less than others), studying each foe carefully and noting its tendencies and mixing up your attacks will make for the most effective and most enjoyable gameplay.
Most importantly, players will also have access to the shield system and be able to tune their defenses according to their own tastes (and according to what they see you doing!), so mixing up your attacks and timing your combos to match defensive shifts will add yet another layer of strategy to player-versus-player encounters.

Here are some of the most important attributes:

These numbers basically affect your character’s powers in attacking, defending, use of magic and more. They are altered by your attributes and possibly even what equipment you use.
Skills
Depending on your character’s class you have a set of skills that are either working in the background while you play, or you will have to activate them yourself by using various abilities. When you gain a level you may also gain a set of points you can invest in these skills to make them more potent. You invest skill points through the character window.
Here are some of the most important skills:
• Perception: Determines how well you observe the environment around you. May allow you to spot hidden enemies or even dangerous traps.
• Bandaging: Allows you to quickly heal outside combat. A better skill may heal you faster.
• Renew mana: This is similar to bandaging, but instead it affects your mana pool.
• Concentration: Determines how prone you are to having your spell canceled if distracted.
• Hiding: This skill allows you to hide and become invisible to others. A higher skill allows you to hide better and become more difficult to spot.
• Climbing: Determines the difficulty of objects (such as ladders) and slopes that you can climb. You may climb by using climbing spots in certain areas.
• Taunt: The higher your skill in taunting, the greater chance of making enemies aggressive towards you. The maximum number of points you can invest in a skill increases as you gain new levels.
